The devil is in the details — and when rolling out a large-scale telecom network, even a small obstacle can turn into a major roadblock. That’s why we’ve developed a range of field tools designed to address real-world constraints and enhance both the efficiency and quality of operational work. At Omelcom, we believe that the long-term resilience of telecom networks depends on the adoption of the right tools and processes from day one.
The 4 field tools that enhance your productivity
Field tool 1
Ludoptic: 19” rack equipped with 24 remote controllable lasers @ 650 nm
- Faster acceptance of optical fibre networks — only 1 person needed for continuity tests, instead of 2
- Safer for engineers conducting continuity tests — laser intensity control to protect personnel
- Enhances optical acceptance quality — continuity test results sent through a REST API
Field tool 2
Ludoptic Mini: The safe, battery-free 650nm laser pen
- Enhances your CSR impact — no more expendable batteries needed to power the pens
- Safer for engineers conducting continuity tests — laser intensity control to protect personnel
- For reliable checks over long distances — the laser power remains constant irrespective of the battery charge level and allows checks up to a distance of 10 km
- Difficult to steal — the box can be equipped with an anti-theft device and can also be remotely deactivated if stolen
Field tool 3
E@sy’Loop: the copper line looper that is 8x faster
- Faster megohmmeter testing on copper lines — 4 subscriber lines are looped so that the number of trips to and from the street cabinet is divided by 8
Field tool 4
E@sy’Detect: localises interference on the xDSL signal within buildings
- Quickly confirms the presence of electro-magnetic interference, by audio and visual identification
- Localises electro-magnetic interference by measuring signal level
- The economic alternative to laboratory instruments — ergonomic field product dedicated to interference identification, with no needless cost
